Past Perfect

Form: J + had + pp
You had studied English before you did your exams.
Had you studied English before you did your exams?
You had not studied English before you did your exams.
When we use the past perfect:
To show an past action before another past action and to give reasons of why things happened in the past

Make your own sentences by saying what happened before:
